Graduation

Thomas is officially graduated from BYU with his JD/MPA!!!  Whoopie!!  Even though he graduated in December he had to wait to 'walk' in April.  It was so fun to go to his graduation ceremonies and to visit with his family who came down for the occasion.  Before he finished school, he had a serious case of senioritis that threatened to undermine all of his previous hard work and cause him to give up.  He conquered it though and continued through finals but he was so tired of school he didn't even want to go to his own convocations!  He had two convocations to attend one with the MPA program and one with law school.  By talking my head off an entire morning he consented to going!!  So we went to his MPA convocation but after that he didn't have the heart to go to one more... oh well!  I am still SO proud of him.
Ever since Thomas graduated in December, he has been driving me crazy as he tries to fit EVERYTHING he can into his life.  Originally he decided that he wanted to run for congress while working part time with Supragenix, building out his business 'Liberty Action Center', and also studying for the bar.  He finally realized that although they tell you to shoot for the stars you can't actually reach all of them at the same time.  He has since settled for being the precinct chair of our little district in Orem while helping run campaigns for two congressional candidates and a candidate for the Utah House.  Even though it was a step down from running for congress it has still kept him really busy.  Many nights I've gone to bed and woken up to find Thomas still working!!!  Over the past two weeks I've basically had to spoon feed him at HIS DESK in order to get him to eat!  But... finally things will be calming down now that the convention is over... THANK GOODNESS!  Suffice it to say, I'm so proud of my little overachiever!
